Getting started

How do I know if my child needs therapy?

If your child is behind on talking, hard to understand, struggles with attention, behaviour, learning or daily skills, or you simply have a “something’s not quite right” feeling, it’s worth a check. A short developmental assessment gives you clarity either way.

What is the first step?

A gentle, play-based assessment so we understand your child’s strengths and needs and give you a clear plan. The easiest way to arrange it is to call or WhatsApp us on +92 314 6040262.

Do I need a doctor’s referral?

No. You can contact us directly — most families come to us themselves. If your child is already seeing a paediatrician, we’re happy to work alongside them.

What ages do you work with?

We support children from toddlers through school age. Earlier is easier, but it’s never too late — we tailor support to your child’s age and stage.

How soon should we start?

As early as possible. The younger a child is, the faster their brain learns, so early support usually means quicker progress. “Wait and see” often costs valuable time.

FAQ

Speech, language & communication

My 2–3 year old isn’t talking. Should I worry?

Not every late talker has a lasting problem, but you can’t know in advance who will catch up. If your child has few words, isn’t combining words, or doesn’t respond to their name, a check is wise. See speech delay.

Is it a speech delay or autism?

A speech delay is about talking; autism also affects eye contact, gestures, play and social connection. A child who points, shares looks and clearly wants to communicate is showing reassuring signs. We explain this fully in speech delay vs autism.

My child stammers — will it go away?

Many young children have a normal phase of disfluency. Some need support, especially if it lasts, worsens, or upsets the child. Early help works very well. See stammering.

We speak more than one language at home. Is that confusing my child?

No. Growing up bilingual does not cause speech delay — children’s brains handle it well. Keep speaking the languages you know best with your child.

FAQ

Autism, behaviour & development

What are the early signs of autism?

Little response to their name, limited eye contact, not pointing to share interest, repetitive movements, and a strong need for routine. No single sign is conclusive — a cluster is the cue to seek an assessment. See autism.

Can autism be “cured”?

Autism is a lifelong difference, not an illness. Therapy isn’t about changing who your child is — it’s about building communication, skills and confidence so they can thrive as themselves.

Is it ADHD or just high energy?

Lots of toddlers are active. ADHD is when attention, impulse control and activity are well beyond what’s typical for the age and affect daily life. An assessment tells the difference. See ADHD.

My child is a “slow learner”. What can help?

Many children simply need a different pace and teaching style. We assess how your child learns best and provide special education and learning support so they can keep up and stay confident.

FAQ

Therapy, progress & our approach

What happens in a therapy session?

Sessions look like play, but every activity has a goal. We follow your child’s lead, keep it fun and low-pressure, and coach you so the work continues at home. See inside a session.

How long until we see progress?

It depends on your child, the goals and how often you can practise at home — but families often notice early changes within the first weeks to months. We review progress regularly and adjust the plan.

Will I be involved?

Yes — closely. Parent involvement is one of the biggest drivers of progress. We explain everything and give you simple things to do between sessions.

How do you measure progress?

We set clear, individual goals at the start and track them session by session, sharing updates with you so progress is visible — not guesswork.
