Child milestone checklists by age
Wondering if your child is on track? Choose an age for a clear checklist of speech, social, movement and self-care milestones — free to print or save as a PDF.
Developmental milestones are the skills most children pick up around a certain age — the first words, first steps, waving bye-bye, stacking blocks, sharing a game. They’re a helpful map, not a stopwatch. Every child grows at their own pace, and reaching one a little late is usually nothing to worry about; what matters more is steady progress and the overall pattern across speech, movement, play and social skills.
Pick your child’s age below for a free, printable checklist of what’s typical at that stage, plus gentle guidance on the signs that are worth a closer look. If a few things aren’t there yet, it doesn’t mean something is wrong — it just tells you where to pay attention. Questions parents ask
Are these milestone checklists a diagnosis?
No. They are general guides to typical development. Every child grows at their own pace, and missing one or two items is common. If several feel behind, a friendly assessment is worthwhile.
Can I print or download the checklists?
Yes. Open any age checklist and tap “Print / Save as PDF” — it prints as a clean, branded sheet you can keep, share or bring to an appointment.
Which age should I choose?
Pick the age closest to your child’s. If they were born early (premature), use their corrected age in the first two years.
