Online school-readiness coaching
Online school-readiness is sitting, waiting, a two-step instruction, practised with you in the room. It is not a promise they will read by Monday.
Written by the Inclusive Developmental and Therapy Center therapy team — our Speech & Language Therapist, psychology and ABA staff. This page is awaiting its clinical review.
What video is genuinely good for
A sit that lasts. A wait with a first-then. Copying a simple action. Parent coaching. School readiness, Akasha.
A consultation is Rs 1,500 and lasts up to 50 minutes. Complementary to nursery where you live.
What we will not pretend
We cannot put your child in a Pakistani classroom from abroad. We cannot replace a school place. Skills travel; a seat in class does not.
How to start from another city or country
WhatsApp the child’s age, the worry, and your city. We reply in Urdu or English. Keep any local waiting-list place you already have. A consultation is Rs 1,500 and lasts up to 50 minutes. One centre: Model Town, Multan. No branch in your city.
What we will still want in person
A group sit, pencil control, a classroom-like demand. We say which parts transfer. Online therapy.
The idea behind the work (in the books)
Video can coach the goodbye and the two-step instruction. A group sit is harder to fake on a phone.
Blair — EF in the home routine
Online we watch breakfast and the door, not a pretend classroom.
NICE — parent mediation
You are the mediator on the call. The child does not always need to sit on camera.
What the research tells us
This isn’t just our opinion — it’s grounded in published research. Here are a few findings from trusted, independent sources:
Blair and Raver (Annual Review of Psychology, 2015) treat school readiness as self-regulation — holding a rule, waiting, switching — which sets the stage for letters and numbers rather than replacing them.
— Blair and Raver, School readiness and self-regulation, Annual Review of Psychology (2015), PMID 25148852. View sourceNICE CG170 recommends a play-based social-communication intervention with parents, carers and teachers to increase joint attention, engagement and reciprocal communication, adjusted to the child’s developmental level. For pre-school children it recommends parent mediation.

Print one sheet. Fill it in this week. Bring it to the consultation — a consultation is Rs 1,500 and lasts up to 50 minutes.
School-readiness checklist
Sitting, waiting, a two-step instruction — tick ordinary days, not the best afternoon.
Alphabet cards
Letter and sound together. Not a trophy recitation.
Home practice log
One skill, a few minutes, one line of what happened. Bring it next time.
Book a consultation
Contact owner Muhammad Salman Afzal first. No referral needed. A consultation is Rs 1,500 and lasts up to 50 minutes.
Online — questions parents ask
Do you have a clinic in my city?
No. One centre, MPS Road, Model Town, Multan. Online is the same team on video.
What do I need on the call?
A phone, a quiet-enough room, and the toy, snack or routine that usually fails. The child does not always have to sit on camera.
Will this replace local services?
No. Complementary. Not an EHCP, IEP or NDIS assessment, and not a licence in your country.
How much?
A consultation is Rs 1,500 and lasts up to 50 minutes, wherever you are. Ongoing fees are explained after we understand the plan.
Can you get them ready for school on Zoom?
We can coach sitting and the goodbye. We will not pretend a video call is a classroom.
